A road-trip ferry network across the southern Baltic
TT-Line has connected continental Europe and Sweden since 1962 and today operates a broad passenger
and freight network across the southern Baltic. Its main passenger gateways include Travemünde and
Rostock in Germany, Świnoujście in Poland, Klaipėda in Lithuania and the Swedish ports of Trelleborg
and Karlshamn.
Trelleborg remains the central hub. Several Germany–Sweden sailings operate each day, while Poland
and Lithuania services create useful alternatives for travellers heading east or south across
Europe. Some longer journeys use an easy transfer between TT-Line ferries in Trelleborg.
The routes are designed for self-drive travel as much as foot passengers. Cars, motorcycles,
campervans and caravans can be booked, and the longer sailings offer private cabins, Pullman
seating, restaurants, bars, shops, Wi-Fi and family facilities.
EUFerry travel note: TT-Line's route network includes direct, through and connection products. Always read the complete itinerary if travelling beyond Trelleborg.

The original EUFerry TT-Line route map shows the broader network. TT-Line currently connects
Travemünde, Rostock, Świnoujście and Klaipėda with the Swedish network centred on Trelleborg, while
Karlshamn is also part of the route system.
Some routes are direct and others use a through itinerary or a guided ship change in Trelleborg. Use
the live booking result for the exact route sequence.
After choosing the most practical route, compare the live TT-Line sailing for departure time,
calling pattern, passenger requirements and the facilities or accommodation shown for that service.
The complete itinerary and arrival location can matter more than a small difference in the headline
fare.
TT-Line's current network also includes direct weekend Travemünde–Klaipėda departures and additional
Lithuania services via Trelleborg, so do not assume every Germany–Lithuania booking follows the same
pattern.

Check-in, documents and boarding
TT-Line uses online check-in and self-service machines extensively, but route-specific port closing
times still apply even after online check-in.
Online check-in can be completed 48 hours before departure, with the barcode then used at port self-check-in where available. Check-in rules vary between Germany, Sweden, Poland and Lithuania, so use the port-specific deadline for the exact route.
Current check-in pattern
48 hours before
Online check-in opens
Eligible fully paid bookings can complete TT-Line's online check-in from 48 hours before departure.
2–3 hours before
Port check-in normally opens
Most TT-Line ports begin passenger processing roughly two to three hours before the scheduled sailing.
Germany-bound vehicles
Check-in generally closes 30 minutes before departure
This is the standard current TT-Line rule for vehicles on sailings to Germany, unless the booked
sailing has a stricter requirement.
Germany-bound pedestrians/cyclists
Check-in closes 45 minutes before departure
Foot and bicycle passengers need additional time for terminal processing and shuttle arrangements.
Poland or Lithuania
Check-in closes 60 minutes before departure
Departures to Świnoujście and Klaipėda use an earlier closing time. Świnoujście vehicle check-in
also closes 60 minutes before departure.
Use the network to shorten the road journey
When TT-Line can be the practical choice
TT-Line is particularly attractive for travellers driving between continental Europe and
Scandinavia. Travemünde suits Hamburg and western approaches, while Rostock can be the better
gateway from Berlin, eastern Germany and central Europe.
Świnoujście creates a direct Poland–Sweden corridor, while Klaipėda opens the Baltic states and
eastern Europe. Through itineraries involving Trelleborg can save substantial road distance even
when the sea journey is longer.
Accommodation also changes the calculation. A cabin on a night sailing can replace a hotel stop and
allow the driver to begin the next road stage rested.
