SEAJETS specialises in high-speed ferry travel across Greece and describes its current operation as the largest high-speed network in the Aegean. Its 2026 programme spans Athens, Crete, the Cyclades and additional northern and eastern Aegean ports.
The network is particularly useful for island hopping. A single journey can connect major islands such as Mykonos, Paros, Naxos and Santorini, while routes from Piraeus and Rafina make it possible to start an island itinerary directly from the Athens region.
SEAJETS also carries vehicles on suitable passenger-vehicle ships. Because vessel type changes the seating, vehicle capacity and onboard facilities, always check the exact ship assigned to the chosen departure rather than assuming every service offers the same product.
EUFerry travel note: Greek island timetables are seasonal. Build the whole itinerary before booking accommodation that depends on a same-day connection.
SEAJETS has far more routes than can fit on one page. These three examples show the main journey types: Athens to an island, Crete to the Cyclades and island-to-island travel.
Piraeus–Mykonos is one of the headline high-speed routes. Current 2026 SEAJETS guidance gives an approximate journey of 2 hours 40 minutes.
Heraklion–Santorini is one of the most useful fast links between Crete and the Cyclades, with current SEAJETS guidance giving about 1 hour 45 minutes.
Mykonos–Santorini demonstrates the strength of the SEAJETS island-hopping network. Current operator guidance places the journey at roughly two hours.
The EUFerry route map shows the broad pattern of SEAJETS links across Athens, Crete and the island groups. The live 2026 schedule is much more detailed, with route combinations changing by season and day of week.
Use the map to understand geography, then use the live search to build the actual itinerary. A connection that works in July may not operate in the same pattern in May or October.
After choosing the most practical route, compare the live Seajets sailing for departure time, calling pattern, passenger requirements and the facilities or accommodation shown for that service. The complete itinerary and arrival location can matter more than a small difference in the headline fare.
SEAJETS publishes route groups from Athens, Crete, Thessaloniki, Volos and Mantoudi as well as extensive Cyclades itineraries. Extra 2026 itineraries can also be added during the season.
Piraeus is the main Athens gateway, while Mykonos and Santorini sit at the heart of the Cyclades network and connect easily with other islands. Where a dedicated destination photograph is not available in the EUFerry library, supporting imagery is clearly illustrative.
Greece's largest port is the starting point for many SEAJETS Cyclades services. It has direct metro and road connections with central Athens and the wider Attica region.

Mykonos connects directly with Athens, Crete and many neighbouring islands. SEAJETS uses the island's new port for its scheduled ferry services.
Explore Mykonos and the Cyclades
SEAJETS services use Athinios Port, below the caldera. Santorini connects with Piraeus, Rafina, Crete and a long list of neighbouring Cyclades islands.
Plan a Santorini ferry tripGreek island ports can be busy and some, especially Santorini's Athinios Port, require a road transfer to the main resort areas. Leave enough time for buses, taxis or hire-car collection after arrival.
Most SEAJETS journeys are high-speed daytime crossings, so seat class matters more than a cabin. Conventional vessels use a different accommodation mix and can offer deck passage and cabins.
Economy is the standard high-speed ticket category and is the natural choice for most short and medium-length island journeys.
Best considered for Value-focused island hoppingSilver is offered on relevant high-speed vessels as an upgraded seating category with a more premium passenger environment.
Best considered for Passengers wanting an upgrade without the top fareClub seating is available on selected ships and provides another premium tier above standard accommodation.
Best considered for Longer high-speed crossings and quieter travelPlatinum is the highest seating category on applicable high-speed ferries and is excluded from some standard discount products.
Best considered for Passengers prioritising maximum onboard comfortSEAJETS also operates conventional passenger-vehicle ferries where accommodation can include deck passage and private cabins, depending on the ship.
Best considered for Routes operated by conventional vesselsAccessibility features differ by vessel. Declare assistance needs when booking and check the assigned ship if lift or step-free access is essential.
Best considered for Passengers requiring specific access arrangementsOn a two- or three-hour high-speed crossing, the seating category can matter more than the headline journey time. Compare Economy and premium options before checkout, especially in peak summer.
Facilities vary widely across SEAJETS' mix of high-speed and conventional vessels, so treat the assigned ship as part of the booking decision.
Many SEAJETS vessels provide café-bar service with drinks, coffee, snacks and light food during the journey.
High-speed ferries are built around comfortable indoor seating, with several ticket classes on selected vessels.
Wi-Fi is listed among the onboard services on relevant SEAJETS vessels, but it is not uniform across every ferry.
Selected passenger ferries include shops for travel items and leisure purchases.
All vessels provide designated pet arrangements, with special pet cabins available on conventional ships that offer them.
The network includes very different vessel types, so elevators, outdoor decks, vehicle space and other amenities should be checked against the assigned ship.

SEAJETS can carry cars and motorcycles on suitable passenger-vehicle services, while pet and accessibility arrangements are governed by the assigned vessel and the operator's current travel terms.
Add the vehicle while booking and check that the selected sailing actually carries vehicles. SEAJETS requires vehicles at the loading area 60 minutes before departure.
Current Greek ferry safety rules apply to alternative-fuel vehicles. SEAJETS requires these vehicles to be declared when booking or ticketing.
Pets travel free but must be declared in advance. Up to five properly documented pets can travel with one passenger under the current rules.
Passengers should declare special care or assistance needs during booking. Vessel accessibility differs, so confirm lift and step-free facilities when they are essential.
Busy Greek island ports can become congested close to departure. SEAJETS' formal minimum is 30 minutes for passengers and 60 minutes for vehicles, but EUFerry recommends adding extra time in peak summer.
Piraeus, Rafina and island ports can have multiple ferry berths. Confirm the terminal or gate and the vessel on the current ticket.
SEAJETS requires vehicles to be presented at the loading area at least one hour before departure.
Ordinary passengers must be at the ship's embarkation area at least 30 minutes before departure.
All passengers must hold the documents required for the journey and any discount entitlement used to issue the ticket.
SEAJETS allows hand luggage up to 50 kg or 1 cubic metre, but valuables should not be left unattended in public areas or vehicles.
SEAJETS is strongest when a Greek itinerary involves several islands. Fast crossings can turn Mykonos, Paros, Naxos, Santorini, Milos and other Cyclades destinations into one continuous trip without returning to Athens between islands.
The advantage is not only speed. The dense network can reduce flights and long transfers, while vehicle-capable sailings let travellers take a car or motorcycle onto selected islands. The trade-off is that schedules are highly seasonal and different ships offer different seating and vehicle capacity.
Build the trip in sequence: confirm each ferry, then book hotels and transfers around those confirmed times. When connections are critical, avoid very tight same-day plans because weather and operational changes can affect high-speed services.
SEAJETS publishes a 2026 network covering routes from Athens, Crete, Thessaloniki, Volos and Mantoudi plus extensive Cyclades island-to-island services. Its current destination list contains around 50 destinations across the Aegean.
SEAJETS' current 2026 travel guidance gives approximately 2 hours 40 minutes from Piraeus to Mykonos on a high-speed service.
The current SEAJETS Santorini guidance gives approximately 1 hour 45 minutes from Heraklion to Santorini.
Current SEAJETS guidance places Mykonos–Santorini at roughly two hours, with published examples around 1 hour 55 minutes to 2 hours 10 minutes depending on the service.
SEAJETS' current general terms require passengers to be at the embarkation area at least 30 minutes before departure and vehicles at the loading area 60 minutes before departure.
Yes on passenger-vehicle vessels and routes that accept vehicles. Vehicle availability depends on the assigned ship and sailing, so the vehicle must be added to the booking and presented at the loading area 60 minutes before departure.
Yes. Pets must be declared when booking so they are included in the reservation system. Transport is currently free, and each passenger may travel with up to five properly documented pets subject to the onboard pet rules.
SEAJETS' current general terms allow hand luggage up to 50 kg or 1 cubic metre per passenger. Keep valuables with you or use the ship's safekeeping arrangements where available.
High-speed SEAJETS vessels can offer Economy, Silver, Club and Platinum seating, depending on the ship. Conventional vessels use a different accommodation mix that can include deck passage and cabins.
Yes. SEAJETS asks passengers to declare special care or assistance requirements during booking. Accessibility features vary by ship, and the operator's vessel information identifies accessibility and lift facilities where provided.
